I’ve used many different independent travel agents over the years but Jo is on a completely different level. The service she offers is on such a personal level and it’s extremely apparent that she plans holidays for others as if they were her own. What impressed me most was that Jo understood we were looking for an authentic experience, not just somewhere to stay. She found a genuine hidden gem that was exactly what we had hoped for. I could have spent weeks searching and still wouldn’t have found it myself.

I am a very last minute person… to add to that I have no idea of where to go and it has to be below 30 degrees Celsius. My poor kids! A friend of mine directed me towards Jo van Rooyen — Jo is now my holiday planning hero. I go to her for all our family trips, she deals with my incredibly vague ideas and comes back with holidays tailored towards me. She even booked a hotel on the same day we were supposed to check in!

Our first holiday was Ikos — I gave her the following criteria: luxury all inclusive, not too hot, not too busy, any country and not too expensive. She came back with Ikos and Grecotel in Greece, both surprisingly in our budget, but the snag was to go in April… which was fine by us as the temperature suited us. When we arrived at Ikos Dahlia, the season had just started which was brilliant as we were the first guests there and we were spoilt rotten!

I need to book a holiday for next year — I have no idea where to start. Jo to the rescue!

Jo provided my friends and I with an amazing service for our trip to Dubai. She booked us a fantastic hotel and flights and was always on hand to help, even when we missed our flight! Jo organised an amazing cruise for the four of us and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Everything went exactly to plan, from the cruise itself to the excellent stays arranged before and afterwards.

Jo booked a fantastic one-week holiday to Costa Botanica in Greece for me and my family over the October half term last year and made the whole process so easy.

After we’d booked, some friends decided they wanted to come too. I put them in touch with Jo and she managed to get them booked into the same resort for the same week, which couldn’t have been easy during half term.

Before we travelled she helped us get everything organised, including booking restaurants and sorting all the little extras. Everything was taken care of so we could just relax and look forward to the holiday.
